THE CALL
The Philosophy: Jesus mentored Peter more so than any of the other apostles. Peter was the one Jesus said he would build his church upon (Matt 16:18). At the Call we understand that there are some students who may be called into vocational ministry. We want to recognize these students and mentor them allow them to see into the day to ay life of ministry.The Fit: While many students will demonstrate leadership ability and will grow into mature Christian adult leaders in the church, some students may feel a call from God to enter into vocational ministry. Students recognized with this calling will be invited into a mentoring relationship with a minister to experience and learn what a life called to vocational ministry looks like and how it plays out in day to day life. The Vibe: Due to the nature of this program and it’s invitation only status, it is difficult to describe what this program will look like. The primary focus is to simply nurture the call of God toward some students and provide guidance for them as they move towards a great, special, and equally difficult path of life. |
